5.1 ha. solid waste landfill, conveyor belt, ring road and connection roads ( 3.4 million € )

Strabag Int.-Maksomer A.Ş. Joint Venture undertook the above mentioned contractual work with the estimated price of 5.399.581,03 USD, which was issued to tender in 2002 by the İskenderun Energy Production and Trade Corp., a private sector firm of Turkey. The shares of the companies in the Joint Venture were % 13 for Strabag Int. to cover the supply of off-shore materials and % 87 for Maksomer A.Ş. to cover all of the landfill construction works. The work contained mainly the construction of a landfill for the disposal of ashes extracting from the Power Plant, which had been founded for the production of electrical energy to the Electricity Network of Turkey and was completed and put into operation in 2003. The final value of the project amounted to 5.809.658,29 Euro with the Maksomer's share of 5.054.402,71 Euro.
