1.5 million m waste capacity landfill and leachate treatment plant ( 7.4 million € )

The planned capacity of the project was 1,907,000 ton of waste, but it will accept around 3,000,000 ton by the new design executed.

The total Area of the Project was around 350,000 m , MAKSOMER A.Ş. had excavated and filled more than 1,500,000 m of soil and rock, installed ca. 100,000 m of HD membrane and geotextile, built 11 buildings and paved 40,000 m of roads and interlock.

Amasya Solid Waste Management Project has been initiated, under the coordination of the Ministry of Environment and Forest (MoEF), in order achieve a high level of environmental protection and compliance with the EU waste sector directives.

Facilities below had been constructed in order to manage solid wastes in compliance with Turkish legislations and EU legislation.

• Sanitary landfill (leachate collection system, leachate pre-treatment plant, gas collection system, flaring and gas utilization plant)
• Administration Buildings, Control Building, Workshop building and Garage
• Medical Waste Treatment Plant and Hand sorting Plant.
• Pilot composting plant ( on landfill site )
• Transfer stations ( at specific locations )
• Recycling centers ( in towns )
